Contribuiți la feedbackWe went with our daughter because we had tickets to CB across the street. Although convenient to the theater the food is just so so.
Convenient for dining after Count Basie. Menu lists dishes that are unique to the type of restaurant, Peruvian. Cebiche(not sure of spelling) comes in many varieties. Had Empanadas as a sharing dish and they were delicious. Entre of roasted chicken for me was plentiful and very tasty. My friend's Ceviche was a treat, nicely presented and she commented more than once delicious. Our waitress was attentive and informative. Although the restaurant was not full, the only negative was it took a long time for the meal to be served.....good thing we went after the show.
We had a reservation and due to heavy traffic where running late. When I called ahead to let them know they could not have been more courteous/accommodating. Upon arrival that continued with a friendly greeting, explanation of dishes, and good service. The food was excellent and we will definitely be returning.
The Pisco Sours are fantastic however make sure you purchase the brandy that is from Peru(Vingo sells it). Our appetizers, meals, desserts, and coffee were excellent. The staff are professional and friendly. We celebrated a birthday and will definitely return. Runa is now one of our favorites. It is great all the time. I would suggest reservations especially if there is an event at the Count Basie theater.
My rate on service: not a good idea to enter to a restaurant and find no host to welcome you. When I arrived There was already another party waiting to be seated. We wait at least 5 mins before someone showing up. It is a BYOB, the person didn't offer to open the bottle, when she did it... there were no wine glasses on the table after 10 Minutes when we asked. No pouring of the wine either. It feels that the few waitresses they have are not enough to be attentive and service oriented. Great food though.
