Wessels Lensmann - Recklinghausen

The restaurant is called Wessels Lensmann and not Nessels Lensmann. At the restaurant visit last week we were disappointed that the smoking area is probably the standard area in this restaurant. Non-smokers are only assigned a space in the smoke-free social rooms on request. The ambience reminds more of a village pub than a restaurant in the high price segment. The map of the house is not a mainstream and partly in need of reconciliation. It was unfortunate that each menu contained another supplemental menu (spargel card, weekly card, menu card) and only by combining all additional cards the total offer was visible. The asparagus dish was disappointed because finished sauce Hollandaise was used with the firm consistency of glass mayonnaise. This is not acceptable at the price. The dishes from 21, Euro let the true class of the kitchen look out without being really perfect. The dessert had a clear fridge taste, but was otherwise really successful. In view of the simple, rugged ambience and the rather high price level, I think the price of performance is not correct. There are at least two better addresses in this price segment in Recklinghausen.
