Whittington's Tea Barge - Reading

Lovely barge on the river by Kings Meadow. We reserved a table as gets busy. Friendly staff. We had the full cooked breakfast the Whittington vintage cream tea (they did us a selection of cakes). Between 4 of us, there was nothing left on the plate!.

This restaurant offers a fantastic cream tea with delicious sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The setting is beautiful and the staff is lovely.

What a delightful surprise and perfect way to enjoy a Friday afternoon. The staff at this restaurant are so friendly and attentive, the food is freshly prepared, and the pot of tea is huge. We are fortunate to have this place so close by and cannot wait for our next visit. Thank you!
