Bakery House - Reading

Today, I visited Bakery House after hearing many positive reviews. We ordered mixed grills, Aryes, and Mix starters (chef's choice) for both adults and kids. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the Aryes as it was thick and lacking in mince meat. The mixed grill was underwhelming, with small portions of seekh kebab, lamb, and overcooked boneless chicken. The cold starters were okay and the hot bread was excellent. Despite all this food, the kids were still hungry. Although the price was not a concern, the taste was bland. I spoke to the owner after paying the bill, and he proudly showed me their dough preparation machinery, boasting about the generous portions in Berkshire.

Terrible service. When I requested a bag for my hot take-out soup, the staff at the bar was rude to me. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told to come back the next day because they were busy. The bartender even used profanity towards me. Absolutely awful.

This restaurant offers great value for the price and provides friendly service, making it a place I would return to again and again.

Absolute RIP Off. Mix cold starters were ok. Hot bread was excellent. Would you believe with all this food the kids were still hungry. We do not mind the price but the taste was bland.
