Taqueria El Carreton - Reading

This is the perfect spot for authentic tacos. I am a huge fan of the Harracha's tacos - I always order from here and I just can't get enough of their amazing taste.

The food is decent for those on a diet and reasonably priced for the portion size. However, the restaurant only accepts cash, and the ATM on the premises was out of order. It was cold and rainy outside, and unfortunately, there was no heating inside. We invited a friend to join us, but it turned out to be a disappointing experience.

Today, I ordered food from this restaurant and usually it is really good. However, today I found a mistake in my rice. It was not burnt, but there were peaches in it which I do not like. Because of this, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

The food is AMAZING! Every time my family came, it was better and better! This, however, does not make an extremely bad service. the food was quick, but the waitress was terrible to us. She seemed to upset us since we went to the restaurant. As usual in most restaurants, we tried to order drinks first, but they basically cried that they did not drink orders until the food is served. Then the food was served in the course of about 10 minutes. She could not remember who ordered what (we were one of the only ones there and not even in all the food we had ordered, we had to remind her of everything from a whole meal to one side. After we had all eaten halfway, she finally felt to take our drinks orders. Our table was RECHT next to the beverage station and she could remember only a number of two (2 drinks at a time when 4 were the same and the other two were the same? and she also had JUST taken the order. After eating, she asked if there was no side that we demanded of her because she forgot when she brought out the food. Overall bad attitude evn when there was time to pay. Nightmarish service and unreasonable prices. One of our diners never received his food. After the rest of us were nearly done and the waitress finally checked on us, he let her know. About fifteen minutes and an insincere sorry later, he got his food. When I finally got my bill, it was a list of shrimp dishes. None of us ordered shrimp. Not surprisingly, this made up bill cost more than what we ordered. I 'm sorry how does something like that happen? Really. I 'm curious. Did you know that a medicine cup of sour cream cost $3 in 2022? It does at this joint! Oh, and you 'll discover that it says you can add rice and beans to an entree for extra. But you won 't know it 'll cost you $7 extra for a side of rice and beans (until you get your bill). Yeah. Lastly, be prepared to pay cash or use cash app. They don 't accept cards. What 's the verdict? I got some hateful vibes from this place. Save yourself the misery and go where you 're welcome and will be treated with kindness and respect in exchange for your business. Let 's stop supporting businesses that rob us and treat their patrons like sacks of caca.
