There have been numerous occasions when I've stopped in thinking I would only grab some fish but ended up leaving with everything I needed for a complete meal. I've always been pleased with my choices. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask the incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff. They can provide information about the fish, suggest recipes, and offer tips on how to prepare your selections. Make sure to get a punch card and use it every time you shop. You earn a punch for every $10 spent, and once it's full, you receive $10 off your next purchase. The store itself is always clean and well-organized, making it easy to locate what you need. Plus, there's plenty of parking available.

I ordered the 16/20 Gulf shrimp, peeled, deveined, and steamed, requesting the same as what I had last week. Unfortunately, I received a poor substitute. When I inquired about it, I was told they didn’t have any Gulf shrimp in the size I requested. However, when I visited the store for additional items, I saw they had the 16/20 count available. I didn't have time to argue or wait for them to redo my order, so I took the substitute shrimp home. It was awful and nowhere near the quality of the Gold label shrimp, which is sweet even without seasoning. This shrimp had no flavor at all. Since I placed my phone order yesterday afternoon, I suspect they used the Chicken of the Sea shrimp, as it comes pre-peeled and deveined. My very expensive shrimp salad is now ruined. While I can accept mistakes, I’m very disappointed that they didn’t acknowledge their error and instead lied about the availability.

Check your receipts! I used to love this place, but things have changed recently. They had a buy one get one deal on crab pretzels, but they wouldn’t honor the sign on the cooler. Then, they refused to honor the sale price of the daily oysters, taking down the signs and handing them to me. Today, I ordered blue point oysters, which are usually advertised for $1.80. Upon checking my receipt, I was charged $2.00 instead. I also picked out five crabs, but when I got home, I found that the ones I wanted weren’t included. Instead, I got a tiny baby crab that isn’t worth the $1.99 price. So disappointing!

On the plus side, the fish is usually quite good, and the sushi is decent. The restaurant itself is clean, which is always a plus. However, there are some downsides. The pricing is often inaccurate, and sale items don’t ring up correctly at the register. Additionally, the staff could use some attitude adjustments. There are two employees who are great, but unfortunately, that’s not true for everyone. One blonde employee with long hair has consistently had a negative attitude during my visits, and I try to avoid her when I can. Certain fish, like Mahi, are rarely available, but I understand that can happen. If they could just address a few of these issues, Adelphia could be a fantastic restaurant!

Tonight was the final straw for me with this restaurant. I ordered 12 oysters, and only 4 of them were acceptable; the rest were either dried out or dead. As for the mussels, only 2 were actually alive. I had called previously about an issue, and they didn't seem to care at all. I recommend spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.
