Contribuiți la feedbackOk, so first I’m laughing at the negative reviews of this place from fellow Americans who don’t travel to Europe much or they wouldn’t be so shocked about certain service expectations or the conditions of a bathroom you’re in Italy, be happy they even had a toilet for you to use! So that said, this was a wonderful location and we actually stopped here twice while in Ravenna. You are right in the Piazza enjoying all the activity while sipping on reasonably price drinks, beer and wine. They serve drinks with a nice complimentary snack tray. The food was good had a charcuterie board, bruschetta and tortellini. It was all very reasonable for the area and location. But it’s not fine dining, but that’s not why we wanted to be there. The service was good, but you have to be proactive they literally had 3 or 4 front side wait staff working the entire place. They were responsive and friendly once you had their attention. Remember where you are they’re not going to bug the **** out of you like the US. If you need something let them know otherwise they just assume you’re enjoying your table and experience. Finally we used the restroom and it was seriously not that bad. We’ve had some crazy bathroom stories while traveling and this place is not one of them. A single dedicated guest toilet is much more than you see at a lot of establishments in Europe. I recommend this spot and will return when next in Ravenna.
We had coffee here three times in our week in Ravenna. Perfectly reasonable coffee and friendly staff but the big plus of course is the location on Piazza del Popolo. Great place to sit in the sun for half an hour or so and people-watch.
We arrived in Ravenna mid-morning and went straight to Piazza del Popolo and decided to have a coffee before we started our tour. We were served by a very pleasant and helpful young lady and were so impressed with the cleanliness and service that we decided to go back for lunch. Lunch consisted of Aperol Spritz with Prosciutto e Melone which was absolutely delicious. We had generous portions, the melon chilled, flavourful and juicy, the thinly sliced prosciutto light and tasty the best we have had in Italy so far. The whole meal was very reasonably priced, particularly in the centre of a busy tourist area, and it was nice to sit and watch the visitors in such a famous square. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained, the service was excellent, lovely staff and we can definitely recommend this restaurant.
I rarely give any place a less than favourable review, however this is by far the worst meal we have had since arriving in Italy 12 days ago. A margerita pizza photographed with fresh basil....... just what I felt like.......... pizza arrives three minutes later...... No basil, base barely cooked. Can still taste the flour on the bottom from when the chef rolled it. Simply put horrible. My partner's piadini. The local specialty was similarly undercooked. Doughy and tasteless. I order a Heineken and get the local drop. We had to buy bottle of water. No tapwater unless we missed something. Advice...... stay away.
If you want to wait an hour for you little lasagna and very little risotto, visit this restaurant! After such a delay they even want to take coperto from you! Awful
