Sabatino's Italian - Rapid City

Loved it. We are a vegeterian family. We have eaten at many Italian restaurants around the u.s. before including many in NYC but we have never eaten such delicious Italian vegeterian food before. Chef Alessio was outstanding. The waitress was very good. She really tried her best to help us understand various food options and wine selections. We had a great dining experience. Absolutely recommend this restaurant to all vegeterian diners.

We ordered mozzarella bites, vegetarian lasagna and fettuccini alfredo. For dessert we had the tiramisu and crème brûlée . The food surpassed our expectations. The service was wonderful.

Most recent visit somewhat disappointing. Been a few times since opening. Food quality was average. Beer and white wine selection limited. High prices. Service was good. Made a reservation 2 days before and menu had changed from when we asked at the time of call.Calamari was very good, light and crispy crunchy. Carbonara was tasty, just a bit oily. Gnocchi were way big, and reminiscent of rubber consistency and bland. Very seldom is a plate returned after ordering, but this one went back after two bites. Cannoli were excellent.Bread was hard and dry. No oil and herbs at the table served. 2 smallish hot dog bun style pieces for 3 people, and the extra bread is very overpriced.Wine list was limited I thought for white. Only one variety of Italian Moscato offered for anything above a dry type of white wine. Not much in between. A Tuscany varietal would be nice.Limited beer list and Peroni was not in stock advertised as an Italian inspired restaurant and cuisine? In name only. Limited Italian/Tuscan feel and food.

Yum. Love this restaurant in Downtown Rapid City. Delicious apps, wine options, pasta, and of course tiramisu.
