Lo Scugnizzo - RAPALLO

Visited Rapallo in august 2019. This may be my favorite restaurang in the whole world. Italian food does not get better and tastier than this. Viola and Ernest, the owners, are the sweetest old couple. Low prices and delicious food. I promise you will love this place, the food, the staff and the location. Here you will feel like one of the italians and not a tourist, since barely no tourists find this lovely place. Enjoy!

The couple that run this restaurant are wonderful characters and we found them to be most entertaining, the food was the best we had during our entire week in Rapallo and we dined here twice, each time the food was excellent and could not fault it. Ernesto speaks good English as he lived in New york for many years and will give you any assistance you need to select from the very extensive menu. The wine is excellent value at only 8 euro for a litre and is of decent quality and very drinkable, I have to admit I did over indulge my enthusiasm one evening and staggered off back to the hotel. Great food and great value and you could not go wrong eating at this place, highly recommended.

We visited 3 times in 2 days last weekend, we were very impressed by the Pizza for lunch first of all when we got chatting to the owner who spent 32 years in New York so speaks very good English. We arrived in the evening which was very busy but we managed to get a table outside and ate the mixed seafood fritto, Pizza Linguine with wine and soft drinks for the kids. The food was amazing. We went again sunday evening and ate the mixed seafood platter rich the kids had carbonara lasagne and another linguine all amazing! The bill was very cheap each time. Couldn't fault the service or food if I'm in the area again I will 100% be back. Thanks for the lovely food and hospitality.

Un vero trattore di famiglia. prendere sempre una pizza cotta con forno a legna. piatti tipici davvero. tutto perfetto, servizio veloce e qualità prezzo adeguata.

È un posto dove si può mangiare bene. valore per il denaro. Li consiglio.
