Carmelita's Kitchen

In a sea of subpar American-Mexican eateries, the authentic flavors of Carmelita's truly stand out. This isn't your typical Javiers or Calo; it's genuine Mexican cuisine and more! When we arrived, we faced a 40-minute wait, but we opted to sit at the bar and were served right away. They kicked things off with some chips, salsa, and beans, which were absolutely delicious! We ordered a combination plate, a short rib enchilada, and their popular chicken dish. Everything was outstanding. I only managed to take one photo because I was too busy enjoying the incredible food. That’s how good this place is—too tasty to pause for a picture. Highly recommend!

The food was fresh and tasted fantastic. We had a wonderful meal on the patio, which offered a great view and atmosphere. We met family for lunch, and we truly enjoyed our visit. The location is excellent, and the service was impeccable. Those beans were incredible—we just couldn't get enough!

My friends and I stopped by for dinner and were pleasantly surprised that, despite not having reservations, we only had to wait about five minutes for a table. They seated us at a lovely outdoor table with a fantastic view of the lake. Both the food and the service were excellent. The cocktails were also very enjoyable, and we all had a wonderful time at dinner! I highly recommend Carmelita’s Kitchen on the Lake!

In the land of fake American Mexican restaurants the authentic taste of Carmelita?s came through. This isn?t your Javiers or calo. This is Mexican? and beyond! We got there was there was a 40 min wait. So naturally we sat at the bar and were served immediately. They started us off with some chips, salsa and beans. So good! That?s the kind of place this is too delicious to wait to take a photo. Highly recommend!

The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the food was delicious. The service was also very good. I do wish they offered Equal or Stevia for iced tea, as they only had Sweet 'N Low.
