Avenue Italy Cucina Italiana -west Rancho Palos Verdes

We weren’t given the specials of the day even though we heard it given to every other table that was seated after us and honestly I would have picked one of the specials I overheard. Our waiter didn’t seem to have any interest in us although he did with other patrons. Food was good but not exceptional. Too high priced. Pasta dishes were at least $20 and chicken piccata was $38!?!?!!!! Pretty sure not going to return. I would recommend the food but nothing else really.

The Greco veggie pizza was great.. plenty to split for dinner.. we also split the Beet Salad which we love . Quiet and charming

Used to be much better. Food is now mediocre and way overpriced. My lasagna bolognese looked and tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave. My wife’s linguini she described as forgettable and not as good as she remembered. Will not be going back.

This was our first bad experience here in over 5 years of near-monthly visits. The food and drinks were as good as always, but the service was terrible. We were parked at a table just inside the patio doors. The patio had two, large parties, which would explain the long periods of neglect, though it in no way EXCUSES it. We were left for long periods without inquiry, having to ask someone to find our waiter at one point and, later, having to rise to get the check after sitting for 20 minutes at a cleared table! Were it not for our favorite waiter, Ernesto, I think we’d be sitting there still!

The food still isn’t back to where it was pre-covid. The drinks were weak and the service was rough too.
