Bernie's - Rancho Mirage

Bernie's is an excellent dining spot. The menu offers a wonderful variety of options, with my personal favorites being the main courses and seafood. The best Martinis in the area are expertly crafted right at your table. The staff is very friendly and well-trained, and the desserts are also delicious.

Excellent food is offered at very fair prices on a great menu, with the added bonus of offering general cocktails as well. Our restaurant provides a variety of choices for our customers.

Sunday nights entertainment singer was outstanding. I apologize for not remembering her name. Her range was fabulous as was her selection of songs. She’s GREAT. Usually here on Sunday but has a performance tonight (Wed). We will be there for the music, dancing and wine!

The lounge is campy and fun but the restaurant is outdated. It’s like walking into the 90’s. The food is boring and tasteless. They cover up their food with sugary sauces and buttery veggies. Go for a drink in the bar if you want to have a good laugh and let your hair down. Skip the restaurant .... Time for a major makeover!

First visit. We got seated and handed drink Menus and waited 18 mins when I saw the host seat another guests and ask her where our waiter is. She went looking for someone. A young lady came and introduced herself and took our drink order and left. Waited another 10 mins. I asked the busboy for water and the menu and he brought them. Another 5 mins and another waiter a man comes by and ask us what we like for drinks. We told him we ordered a Manhattan and a vodka martini already. He went and came back 5 mins later with the drinks. The wrong vodka was used on one drink. My guest who ordered it told him to cancel the order and take the drink away. We ordered our food I ordered the short ribs and he ordered the rib eye steak. Mine came dry and root veggies were burnt. My guest steak was smothered with gravy. And very fatty. They called it a tomohok Rib eye Not so. And charged $45. The bus boy was serving bread to every table and passed by us without offering. I had to flag him down to get bread. I was the saddest evening I have even spent at a restaurant. Bad service and bad food. We arrived for a 530pm reservation. I shutter to think how it is later.
