Basically a tiny Seafood City without the fresh seafood/meat. They have all the Filipino ingredients you need. The veggies aren't the most fresh. I suggest you go to your local market for that, but for sinigang mix or even bagoong, this is the place to get it. They even have balut.
I'm not quite sure how to rate this place. I've been a loyal customer at this local mom-and-pop market for years, long before larger Asian supermarkets like 99 Ranch Market and Seafood City moved in. It's disheartening to see how these bigger stores have taken business away from the smaller shops. While I still want to support them, it's evident that their selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, and fish has decreased significantly. They've shifted their focus to more canned, packaged, and dried goods. I used to enjoy their fried fish, but they don't offer that anymore. Now, I mainly go there for their fried banana rolls, or Turon. They make the best Turon for just $1.10 each, and I often buy a dozen to take to my work meetings.
Absolutely delicious! The seafood is incredibly fresh. You can't go wrong with any dish you choose! I adore all their fried options, but I've also tried the grilled dishes if you're looking for a healthier choice. Both are tasty, but I just can’t resist the fried seafood!
The staff was terrible. They didn't make eye contact or greet us at all. The bibingka made both my husband and me feel unwell.
