Stopped in on a whim with my mom on a roadtrip. It felt like being invited to a friend 's table. Owners knew all the regulars by name; almost didn 't have to take their orders. We felt so welcomed as the "strangers from out of town. "The food was absolutely fantastic! Delicious and home-cooked. I will definitely be stopping by the next time I 'm in this part of Indiana.

Great food, country style and friendly service. The portions are just the perfect sizes for any appetite and budget.

Usually it's a fairly pleasant experience. Today was a Saturday, we showed up around 9:30, and I had an appointment with an insurance adjuster at 10:30. The front room was packed, so we figured we could wait for a bit in the car for an available table. When we got in and ordered, it took quite a while, so we asked for our food to go. This was largely due to the cook talking with her ridiculous and obnoxious boyfriend in the kitchen (a former roommate friend of mine). First off, only employees should be in the kitchen. Foul one.Then him and his two kids were served before us though we were there first, then allowed to sit and eat in the room in the back. If a table was offered to us in the back room in the first place, would not have had to wait. So, favoritism. Foul two. The waitress was really nice, it was not her fault so we tipped her well. I was 30 minutes late for my appointment, which was extremely irritating. Bad experience today, but the food was good. Try the loaded taters.

Quaint little country restaurant. Friendly attentive waitress, home cooked food yum. Price was good too.
