Very tasty food, the menu selection is not large but keeps changing during the seasons for variety. I love the Riesling wine soup. Ensure to reserve a table outside, if its summer time, so you can enjoy the beautiful view. The rooms inside are ok, but definitely not as charming as outside. Plan a few extra minutes if you haven't been there before so you can check out the castle before eating. If you walk there ensure to add even more time, as it's quite a way. If you go by car there are enough free parking spaces close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful, providing assistance with children and special dietary requests.

I can't say anything about the food and the service. We are only to the castle to look at them. It's nice if something like this still exists and can be viewed in part true to the original. Parking spaces are free and there are enough. The ascent to the castle is not too difficult. There are information boards inside. There is even a small exhibition or a small museum. Toilets are clean. You have a great view of Switzerland and Lake Constance. Everything great. Parking: Right at the castle. Also enough for mopeds and bicycles. If nothing is free at Birg then about 50 meters further down. Wheelchair accessibility: I would rather rate it as difficult. I only saw and used stairs to the castle. Also because of the slope not exactly easy for wheelchair users.
