Contribuiți la feedbackSushi Tsune was my favorite sushi restaurant in Raleigh (and honestly probably my favorite restaurant in total). The sushi was traditional/classic (additional ingredients and not covered in a ton of sauce) and the whole fish was fresh and very tasty. I also branched and tried their Japanese dinner options and appetizers that were all delicious. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, with a unique area with two chabudai for a more authentic experience. The staff always remembered regulars and would ask how you do. In the sushi bar, the boss sat with you while he made tons of stuff for all his customers. All this for a great value (big portions at modest prices) compared to other sushi restaurants in the area. Chef Tsune and staff, thank you! To get Tsune on Friday nights before COVID and so often to take out during the lock-off will be missed.
An independent restaurant is not far from the North Carolina State University campus. Right on Hillsborough. A little expensive for most college kids, but definitely a nice dinner for a special treat. There are several things on the menu under $10 and huge portions especially the Udon bowls. The menu has a beautiful Japanese selection, the waiters are amazing, the food came fast and hot - always a beautiful surprise.
Fantastic fresh sashimi and beautiful unique sushi rolls. The very special fried Flounder was amazing! Chef Tsune robbed himself!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Raleigh and definitely my top place for authentic Japanese comfort food. It is small and cozy with table seating, sushi bar seating and floor/hat seating on tatami mats. The staff is also very nice. I will always recommend it!
Giving the restaurant 5 stars does not do it justice. I love to give it sex or more stars because visit my favorite place to go to. The waiting staff is always friendly, and the chef is more than willing to teach you a to eat sushi properly. 10 hours 10 place to eat just watch out for that wasabi
