When we arrived, the person at the desk said it would take 1 hour to get a table. I noticed several unseated tables, so we stayed. It took 15 minutes to get a table. Great thing is that the restaurant was close to the hotel.
In all fairness, when going to one of only a few restaurants that happen to be open on Christmas day, it's unreasonable to expect perfection. After all, with many families looking for a respite from cooking, the kitchen was slammed putting meals together for both takeout and seated patrons. The wait staff was attentive, though the overwhelmed kitchen slowed the pace of service. That said, when it did arrive, the entrees were tasty, and generally as described. The dessert offerings were sufficiently diverse to satisfy every kind of sweet tooth.
Great food with great company. Our wait staff was fast, friendly, and tolerated our collective sense of humor. Definitely a place to relax, eat great food, and enjoy your family and friends. You'll be taken care of.
My first and last visit to a RMG was Winston Salem, NC many years ago. I remembered drawing on the table covers and the *opera style singers *what happened to that RMG??? . This visit didn't disappoint though. Kids eat free Monday and Tuesday!!! 5 stars for that!!!! The selections for the kids is very impressive. My lil Mensa Princess had pasta with chicken and broccoli. SHE LOVED IT!!!! We ordered extra sauce for her noodles. The sauce was so unbelievably good that I used it to dip my bread. Delicious!!!!!!! We ordered gelato after she completed her meal however our server, Matthew, stated it was not available. He provided other suggestions. With some hesitation; I decided upon a sample of the lemon sorbet for a four years of age princess. I waited for the sunken facial gesture of tart dissatisfaction! This girl says: YUM!!!! THIS IS GOOD!!!!
We visited macaroni grill on March 2th. We had a wonderful experience last year when we organized my wifes birthday party... This time it was very awful experience.. Our server was sherita.. macaroni grill had 28th birthday party on another table and had few very good singer.. Anyway everyone was having a good time. We ordered pizza half cheese and half veg, another 2 entree for me andwife.. pizza was for kids along, First of all they lost our order in kitchen so manager came and told us sorry for wait and food will be served shortly... Anyway after a while our food came.. My dish chicken entree was pretty good , my wifes dish was ok and pizza was awful, it was burnt, on top they put tomatoes on cheese pizzas.. My daughters would not eat pizza as they hate tomatoes.. we asked her why are there tomatoes on cheese pizza she tells cheese pizza comes with tomatoes.. Anyway in mean time i could hear other server had messed up the 28th birthday billing and were having a heated exchange in figuring out bill.. our table was right behind the computer bill.. Since the pizza was very bad and kids were still hungry we told her we ordered cheese pizza and it should not have had tomatoes.. Anyway we ordered kids cheeze pizza.. it takes forever to come in end it was like 9.45 and kids are tired and sleepy.. We see cheeze pizza and it was burnt again and pretty bad.. Wehen we got bill she charged us for small pizza, big pizza , i told her that it was their fault to put toamtoes on cheeze pizza and they should not charge for kids pizza.. she goes and comeback that they can not take out charge.. it was late so i just paid .. i had gift card and there was 1.50 on top so i paid 2$.. they did not bring me back the paid receipt.. they did not refund as they knew they had terrible service.. anyway i asked for receipt and she says they dont give receipt if its paid with giftcard and cash.. i took bill that was printed and handed another 3$ as tip. FYI Old fashion drink i ordered was awful.. Avoid worst customer service...
