Rey's - Raleigh

Our party spent the day volunteers at Carolina Tiger Rescue and opted for a nice dinner. The staff was absolute snobs when we arrived, I can only assume because they thought we were under. This is an overpriced restaurant to be on the side of the city with mediocre food and creepy 40 years old decor. Bathrooms are comparable with a travel area.

It was our first time at Rey's and I'm telling you it wasn't disappointed! I was initially a little hesitant, based on some of the reviews, but I tell you the food was amazing and the dessert was even better! Our server was amazing, she was so friendly and knew the menu very well. I recommend the banana care it was so delicious. One thing I have to challenge is that the appetizers are very small.

We were disappointed. My husband ordered his fillet medium and it was **** red and had to be sent back. Service was moderate. Not impressed, especially for high prices. My Tuna appetizer was very good, like the scallops. As a non-meat eater in a steak house, that was positive!

Wonderful dinner. Everyone was very gracious. The food was great. Go!

They seated us in the back patio for some unknown reason. Service was sub par. Would not come back. Felt like we were being outcast to the patio.
