Kewpee Sandwich Shop - Racine

I thought we had some pretty good burger joints in Florida, but it ended up being Milwaukee that delivered the best burger I have had in a while. The place looks like an old-fashioned diner. My friend said this place is real popular with the locals. I can see why, although it's beyond me why anyone would live in such a cold place.

The quintessential All-American Burger connection! Hamburger, Fritten, Malz, Chili... what could you want more? The indoor atmosphere (loaded with Kewpee doll memorabilia) has been unchanged for at least the 1950s and this is a great thing! My friend and I visited here as his family has deep roots in Racine and we were in the area. Couldn't have been a perfect lunch. Eat burgers and drink malt at the same place his great grandparents sat decades ago for a nostalgic and pleasant time made. Thanks for keeping Americana alive!

Very old burger connection in downtown Racine. You get a real authentic feeling when you eat here. Burgerfries were great and the prices are very reasonable. The interior is especially with all dolls, but it adds to the authentic feeling. Very recommended!

It is so that the LICIOUS and I ABSOLOOTLY RECKEN you come HERE!!! My friend (stuart) took me here as a date and when we came in, we were greeted by all the little Kewpies on the shelves and around us. We ordered a Kewpie-Burger for me and a double-borgir for my mare and a rootbeer-fruit and even a strawberry-milk-shake for me and it was so delicious and good you even had perry cuomos lyrics on the wall of his song Kewpie Puppe, which is one of my favorites, to be honest with you

My dad came here 45 years ago. Returned today and it was such a fun experience. Cool small stands and the best root beer I ever had in my life (with free refills). Big burgers and great vibes!
