Contribuiți la feedbackGong Cha is definitely one of the most well-known boba chains out there. I visited this location during the BOGO promotion over the summer and found the quality to be consistent with that of other Gong Chas that I have gone to. This location has a few high tops inside and was relatively clean. Our drinks came out in less than ten minutes, but it was also empty at the time that we went. The pearl milk tea has a nice balance of tea and milk, which I like. I feel like the boba could be improved, though, as it does not have much flavor. There is street parking, but sometimes it can be hard to find parking since there are a lot of food spots on this street.
My experiences at this restaurant have usually been quite positive, but this time I am extremely frustrated. I just walked out feeling upset about the poor customer service I received. I had a $5 off coupon, and when I showed it to the girl at the register, she simply said she didn't know how to apply it and couldn't help me. That was disappointing, but what really upset me was when I asked for a cup of water with lemon for my wife, who is pregnant and needs to monitor her sugar levels. Instead of informing me that they didn’t have lemon and asking if plain water would be acceptable, she added lemon syrup to the water and handed it to us. My wife tasted it, and when I mentioned we had requested lemon, she said they had none available. There were no apologies or alternatives offered, just a lack of consideration. The staff definitely needs better training.
This review is focused on a particular cashier and not the drinks. I think his name was Wei Ji. He had a terrible attitude—extremely rude, spoke over me, and rushed through the interaction, even though the place was empty. He didn’t take the time to explain anything; instead, he kept saying, “nevermind” and “whatever.”
Public restrooms are for customer use only. I use a $1 off Veteran's Day on any hot drink. Near Wollaston station.
This tea specialty shop never fails to impress me! They even offer Halloween-themed teas. My favorite is the Red Blood Taro tea; it's a striking red and tastes like a delicious blend of strawberry and taro frozen tea. Tonight, I tried another tea called Chocolate Horror Delight, which is packed with chocolate flavor and topped with whipped cream. I'm not sure if that's how it's made, but it was a delightful surprise with my first sip! I absolutely love this place, and the staff makes you feel so special—it’s such a charming spot to visit. They also serve a peach blended tea with chunks of boba, and that’s why they use those big, wide straws; they make sure all the tasty goodness fits through! Weiqi is a wonderfully creative individual, and you never know what seasonal surprises she’ll have in store. I can’t get enough of this place!
