Contribuiți la feedbackWe loved this place. on the way to the tube station from our hotel for coffee/craissants. light, trendy decor, art and helpful staff. one of the managers gave us some excellent tips on how to talk to our sightseeing structure and was thrilled to speak.
Had brunch here and the food was good enough (hence 2 stars)but coffee was cool and very overpriced. The toilets were out of order which from looking at other reviews seems to be an ongoing problem. I stated my disappointment and asked if we could customers use the bathroom in their hotel just next door. We were due to go on the hop on hop off bus so we wanted to be prepared. We got No satisfaction and No comprimises. Should restaurants continue to operate on a long term basis without a toilet for customers?? Not good enough in my opinion and it is a pure cop out and disregard for the customers needs. The assistant manager seemed to act quite helpless and hopeless. definitely not professionaL I was overcharged by £10 but I noticed it and it was rectified. Expected alot more...Will not be back.
Food wasn’t bad but the poor staff had to tell us they charge an extra £1 per person for ketchup, the toilet was out of order and we couldn’t pay by cash because they had no change. We were also the only customers there for brunch
AVOID! Rip-Off! They will overcharge you and hope you won't notice. Charged £4.50 for a take-away cappuccino, which even for central London is excessive. I had to query it and show them the real price printed on the menu, they over-charged nearly 30%! Looked like routine behaviour. No apology, reluctantly gave me a refund. Dodgy manager. AVOID.
Service was really good. Albeit the two of us were the only ones dining on a Monday night. That said, we probably got all the leftovers from the week or month ago. The food quality was appalling. I honestly could not believe it. We ordered, the lobster mac and cheese the lobster was dry and chewy... and there was NO cheese on that macaroni, NO. CHEESE. it was just a very sad dry half lobster on a bed of beige elbow pasta. The only thing looking good was the bright (and empty) shell housing the lobster pre-mortum. Additionally we had sweet potato fries, (they were parched), crab cakes, these were literally disgusting, came out burnt and a pungent smell of stale fish steaming through them (left on the plate). We also got the arancini ball. As I write this, literally cannot believe the quality of the stuff we were given. The arancini balls were like mush rice inside without any flavour, and without any salt, very very disappointing. We additionally got the charcuterie board, and this consisted of three types of nisa packed salami, ham, and fatty chorizo don't get excited, it's all prepacked/unpacked stuff... truly embarrassing. there was a lemon mayo on the menu for the chicken and we were desperately wanting to try... it was a bowl of smooth, yellow, fat without flavour... OR salt... again. I could've closed my eyes and mainly just had textures of mush (the what once was risotto), smooth (from the wonderful bowl of so-called mayo) and crunch of all things (over)fried, permeated by the crab cake pungent stale fish smell. but no flavour... The only saving grace was the merlot that helped us wash what we tried, down and the white chocolate cheesecake which was very small, but tasty. I cannot believe the reviews on other sites... maybe the normal chef was on holiday... for his sake and for the restaurant's sake I hope so... also did not help that all 6 plates came in at once, there was no room on the table, and we were putting things on the floor. just. not. great. really appalling to be in that area and waste so many ingredients serving disgusting food to unsuspecting diners. Clean up your act Jam Cupboard!
