Not authentic SE Asian flavours, but clearly a very successful operation Service efficient enough and friendly, although clearly rushed. Ambience bustling and noisy. Food ingredients good quality and fresh, and well cooked. The only issue really is that the flavours of the dishes we ate were pretty far off from the proper thing. The dumplings (Chinese dim sum style) were very good, the satay acceptable (although way too little satay sauce and limp cucumber and onion versus the crisp ones you get in Malaysia or Singapore). The beef rendang however, despite its quality, was far from the real thing; it lacked the bite, impact and subtle spiciness that is de rigueur for this dish. Ditto for the laksa, which was pleasant enough to eat, but a pale imitation of its SE Asian version. And the tiny thimbleful of sambal I ordered for $3 was laughably bland, almost totally lacking in flavour. I’m not knocking the place for its success, and they are probably serving what most of their customers want. I’m just saying that based on our judgement (I’ve lived in SEAsia over 40 years and my partner is Thai) the food that we tried is largely a far cry from its origins if that is what you are after.

Slow service, bad representation of Malaysian food. nothing close to the real food in Malaysia.

Very nice vibe Hamilton branch. Delicious food. The Vietnamese coffee is a must try super creative. Wanna go back for more as soon as I can. The people customers adds to the atmosphere, the busier, the better.
