We've had multiple people recommend Fergburger. It's the place to go. There is always a long line waiting to order. A crowd forms outside waiting for their...
A really fun spot with lots of options. Order at counter and they double checked allergens and our burgers came out labeled for celiac. But it’s a busy place and the dedicated gf fries fryer is right next to the onion ring fryer- I saw some onion ring oil leak into the fries while they were standing there.
Not sure it is worth the queue for the food and like some other reviews mentioned, they say they take precautions for gluten allergies but some staff get sloppy when busy (which is always). The server who took my order was very reassuring and confirmed I had a gluten allergy and said my burger and fries would be cooked separately (and it is a longer wait than others but fine). The person who handed me my food (was neither the food prep person nor the person I ordered from) gathered the fries from the same communal fryer (like McDonalds). I asked her to confirm these were gluten free and she said “yes” without checking with anyone who actually prepared it. The burger was clearly labelled with a ‘celiac’ sticker but the fries were not. The burger and GF bun were pretty good; the fries were generic and tasted like McDonalds and definitely cooked in some shared oil with gluten. I got sick. BBQ and Sweet Chilli sauces ‘may contain gluten’ so skip those. Tries hard but fails.
