Fishbone Grill - Queenstown

I had the green seafood curry with rice, and it was fantastic! It truly exceeded my expectations. The dish featured a great variety of scallops, mussels, clams, fish, and a grilled smoky octopus tentacle, all cooked to perfection and served with a delightful green curry sauce. It was bursting with flavor but not too spicy, allowing the delicate fish to shine. My wife ordered the mussel pot with broccoli, and I couldn't find any faults with it either. The capers in the broccoli added a wonderful taste. I would definitely return to this restaurant the next time I'm in town!

I ordered the whole flounder, which is roasted in brown butter with lemon, parsley, and crispy capers, served alongside fries. When the dish arrived, it looked amazing. The flounder is a flat fish with a delicate layer of flesh, and the skin was perfectly browned on the presentation side (unfortunately, the other side wasn’t quite as appealing). The flesh was incredibly tender and separated easily from the bone. I discovered a handy tip: take a small wedge from the provided lemon and place it on the fish for a bite. This size ensures it doesn’t overpower with acidity and complements the fish wonderfully. Overall, this dining experience is quite unique, as it's rare to find a restaurant serving a whole fish designed for one person. On my second visit, I tried the seafood Thai green curry. For the price, it was definitely a premium seafood platter served with white rice, beautifully presented with all the shells intact. The seafood was fresh and delightful, though one of the scallops wasn’t cleaned thoroughly enough; aside from that minor issue, everything else was excellent. Also, for those who prefer to plan their meals in advance, keep in mind that the menu changes daily, so be sure to check the restaurant's website for the latest offerings on the day of your visit.

The flounder was topped with a delicious sauce, and the fish itself was cooked to perfection. Additionally, the salads were also drizzled with a fantastic dressing. The service was excellent, as our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

As live in Sydney, I've tried various good oysters in my life, but the oysters here still surprised me with its creamy full-body ocean taste. Really a must-try!The fishes were also good, but not like amazingly good, so just pick anyone that suits your taste.

Seafood galore! the place is popular and reservation is recommended. We had the stir fry pippies they were great! Also tried the local fish served with a salad. Overall a good and pleasant experience
