Gossip Coffee - Queens

I used to really enjoy this restaurant, but my experience today was disappointing. Feeling hungry and low on sugar after a long day, I bought a sandwich from a nearby deli and stopped by Gossip Coffee for a hot chocolate. As I settled in and began eating my sandwich (which was delicious), I found the hot chocolate to be subpar, tasting like spoiled milk. About five minutes later, a staff member approached me and informed me that I couldn't eat my outside food there because they sold their own food. I was shocked by this absurd policy, as I was simply trying to enjoy my meal quietly. Even if I had known they sold food, I might not have been interested in it. This poor customer service left me feeling upset, so I wrapped up my sandwich and left to finish it elsewhere. I will not be returning to this restaurant and will take my business elsewhere.

We have been going to this restaurant for three years now. We always look for local places to support in our neighborhood. We walk from Sunnyside for 30 minutes just to indulge in their delicious pastries! The scones, hand-rolled spinach pies, cookies, and amazing coffee are all made on-site by the friendly staff/owners. You can taste the difference in their baked goods. I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

I loved the atmosphere of this café, but unfortunately, the owner was quite rude. His behavior was unacceptable. I have been a regular here for some time and I have to agree with others who have mentioned the owner's attitude, especially towards women. When I arrived alone today, he tried to kick me out without realizing I was with a group of other women. It was frustrating when he argued with me about something as trivial as the cream for my coffee. I was patient and waited for him to serve me while he was busy chatting. The owner really needs to work on his customer service skills and manners.

They have good brunch menus! Also the coffee was great

Cute place, the menu on the food sounds delish. When you go in it feels a lot more like a coffee shop than a cafe. Their matcha latter was good. My friends croissant was stale but decent enough to eat. Their avocado toast was good I’m just disappointed that the butternut squash wasn’t baked as described on their menu. From my experience reading recent comment place the opportunity lays with food quality control. Also odd that they don’t turn on their heaters for outdoor seating
