Contribuiți la feedbackWe got a gift certificate for a five course meal at this restaurant and used it last week. For someone who usually don't like eating fish other than salmon, I was way out of my comfort zone with fishes like butterfish, yellow fin tuna, red...tuna, sea urchin, eel, etc. But I liked all of the sushis they served us. Overall, the food was great and it was a really good culinary experience. However, we were disappointed with the service. For the first four courses, it was good. But between the last sushi plate and the dessert, it got bad. No server came to us and asked if we were done. We waited a full hour for the plate to be picked up. Then, when we asked for the check, the server made clear to us that tip was not included in our certificate in a way that offended us a bit. We are not cheap tippers and we were well aware that tip was not included in our certificate. I understand that they may encounter people that don't tip accordingly to the value of their meal and understand why he was telling us that. But he could have done it in a less offending way after the how we've been served.
I love sushi! But there is a big difference when Japanese do it than any other person. I don't know why....special recipe? technique? Yuzu Sushi is okay. Depending on where you go. The first one I try deceive me a lot. -Very small sushi -Dry...The second time I try them, but this time at Ste-Foy, it was better. I guess if you're not use to eat sushis, you not really see the difference. But if you did, you'll remark it.
I was very dissapointed, might have been fresh but it all tasted the same thing; and very expensive! I have had better sushis at the Sushi Box and less expensive. I am from Montreal where I am used to the very best and made by...japanese!!!!
In a medium-sized city like Quebec, there are numerous Japanese (mostly Sushi) restaurants to choose from. Yuzu, located in Old Quebec, is considered upscale but the prices are higher compared to other restaurants in the city. While the venue is conveniently situated in the revitalized Lower Town area, some have found the cleanliness of the restrooms lacking. The service was decent, but could be improved considering the high prices. The food quality was excellent with a diverse menu, earning it a star rating. However, to increase their rating, Yuzu should raise their standards, particularly in service, or lower their prices.
The fish was fresh and the rolls had a unique blend of ingredients. In general, the food was just okay.
