My wife got veal and pork cheek. Everything was very very good. With two beers and tips it coasted ca$140. Worth every single penny.
Excellent food. The look and feel is very casual but the food is very high class. Strange mix of grungy casual dive bar feel with exceptional high quality food. Appetisers go for around 14-20. And mains for 22-36. Expensive but good quality. Good prices on drinks though?! And extensive wine list.
Delicious food and friendly service. Although their plate decorations reminds me of Mexico's all inclusive restaurants, the menu is very modern and unique. It was my first time trying the duck tartare and it was awesome! All their staffs seemed to be knowledgable and proud of what they are serving. However I'm not sure about the sanitary hygiene of this place because they have an open kitchen at the bar and I saw the cook wearing a sleeveless shirt scratching his arm pits as he was standing around for the orders to come in while customers including myself were sitting at the bar right infront of him. He was also drinking and was drunk. It is not a fine dining so being casual is fine but scratching armpits was too much. I was hoping he'd wash his hands before touching the food with his hands but he didn't. Hopefully the heat from the fire killed the germs but I'm still kind of grossed out from what I saw so I probably wont return. I still give a four star because the food and service was very good and all other staffs looked put together and I would have given a 5 star if I didn't sit at the bar and did not see what I saw.
Ordered duck breast here, and it was amazing. Extremely tender! Even though we don't know how to speak French, the server explained the entire menu to us in English. We had a great time here!
We came on a Thursday night, which was still busy, so I'd suggest making reservations, regardless of which night it is. Most of the waiters speak good english, and the cook is really good, though he says it's on adequate when talking about food. They have an expansive wine and beer list. My wife and I got the accras (fish balls) and the porc (a shared main dish of pork flank). Holy smokes, it was really good. Definitely get a meat there. They really know how to cook it. The one drawback is that they take a while to make it, but I attribute that to them making it to order.
