Creative Cafe - QUEANBEYAN EAST

Nice café and restaurant; for sleepy Hawker at least.

Only dropped in here because the store next door wasn't open yet. Have never really seen anyone in KTBees but thought it was probably just the times of day when I visit. Ordered a scrambled egg and bacon roll with a large cappuccino. Was a bit taken aback by the price - $18.00 but thought that considering it was Sunday and wages are higher that it was probably fair. The coffee was large and not too bad, and the scrambled egg and bacon served on a flat hamburger roll was acceptable, but I couldn't say it was good value overall, and the food was at best mediocre even though it presented as attractively as you can with something so simple. There's a bit of a lack of atmosphere and nothing to encourage you to while away the time while relaxing with a newspaper or enjoying the company of friends. There was nothing about this meal to complain about, but not much except the convenient location that would make me return.

Had some time and decided to check out t hi s little pace at the side of an outdoor mall. It was quiet and clean.Just had tea and toast which came quickly and was hot. The service was quick and friendly. I think i might try it agsin for lunch to see how they do.From whst i had i would rate the on my golden fork as a sold 2.5.

I have eaten here regularly and never disappointed. The cafe has a nice warm atmosphere about it and the service is good. Though on my last visit here I ordered the salt and pepper calamari and found it a bit too salty. They make a good salad and the cakes are always good if you don't want a meal. They also make good sandwiches with plenty of filling.

We used to frequent here for simple lunch with a nice view. It has gone so far downhill with the new owners I can't go back despite the convenient location. Even the hot chips were awful - how can you get that wrong?
