Finally, Mauritius has its first Michelin star! I had a superb experience—it’s been a long time since I encountered an Italian restaurant that truly surprised me, and I was incredibly pleased. The pastas were fantastic, and the eggplant dish was uniquely presented, concealed beneath a white foam that strayed from tradition. Yet, with every bite, the flavors brought back memories of classic Italian cuisine. The Veal Malansse was prepared differently, featuring larger chunks of meat, but the texture remained excellent. While the restaurant is on the pricier side, I quickly booked a table for our last night to delight in more of their outstanding dishes.
The only positive aspect of this restaurant is the view! The mushroom pizza was mediocre, with thick dough and average cheese, rating a 4/10. The veal steak was quite disappointing, scoring only a 2/10. The mint fresher cocktail was essentially just frozen juice, despite the waiter assuring us it was made with frozen fruits before we ordered. I had expected something different.
Delicious food (especially the truffle ravioli and the veal), excellent service, and very nice atmosphere. By far the best restaurant at Mauritius Four Seasons, but it's a bit pricey.
This restaurant is a must to try it before leaving the Fourseasons. Service was more than perfect The food took me to Italy directly
