Birreria Zum Loeweneck

Devo ammettere che tutto era molto buono. Ho provato i würstel piccanti che mi hanno fatto venire in mente quelle deliziose caratteristiche che desideravo far provare anche a mio figlio, e la qualità della birra era eccezionale! Gli prezzi erano un po' elevati.

I went on Monday evening at 1845hrs just to have a beer and some goulash knowing that it would be quiet at this time.It was definitely quiet,I was the only customer.The barmaid was busy finishing cleaning the toilets and only acknowledged my presence when I asked her if they were actually open. Eventually got served my Bitburger (0.4 l) and seated right in front of the bar.Asked to order goulash and she raised her eyebrows and said Not possible .I asked when it would be possible she went into the kitchen and returned saying 10 minutes.I ordered and she then said we have no bread but you can have Bretzel,showing me a small card advertising this for 1.50,ok I ordered it. I then noticed the card was on every table,actually looked like a no smoking sign!! 35 minutes and a further 0.4 beer later the goulash arrived with the Bretzel . A Pretzel hanging on what looked like a mug tree.That was pretty horrible and the goulash was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced.Certainly here it bore no resemblance to the goulash I had eaten here many times previously.Definitely not the recipe Dieter used and certainly not the same meat. In my previous review I mistakenly said this was a place the locals knew,I meant to say it is a place many locals did not know.Judging by this visit they will be glad they have not found it. Worst thing of all was the staff all siting down to eat their own meal in the corner and watching the television,completely ignoring the fact they had a customer and that included the kitchen staff. Nearly 19 euros for 2 beers and very poor food? Not what I expected at all and pretty sure Michael will be as disappointed as me,I will not be returning until I read something positive or see an explanation. I will add photos later. Birre eccellenti! Professionalità e cortesia fuori città! Tutto il personale e "Michele" erano molto gentili! Piatti ricchi e deliziosi come impone la tradizione bavarese. I prezzi sono più che onesti! Torneremo sicuramente!

The food itself is not bad (as we know the German butcher). Bit expensive though. I repeatedly asked to turn the hot air away from my head but nobody seemed to care. Message to Michele: trying to be simpatico is not enough if you clearly give the impression not to make any effort to care about customers. Karl Heinz is lot better.

Well what can i say, from the moment we arrived at the german bar until the moment we left we had the best night of our holiday, Dieter and his friendly staff were the most accomodating hosts i have ever met, i have never laughed so much and have never had menthol snuff before but it was fun, the food was excellent and the beer was great too, prices were reasonable and ambience was excellent, if you are ever in the centre of Quartu San Elena then you must try for yourselves as i promise you will have the best food and great nightxxxx.
