O Buzio - Quarteira

Found this restaurant as we were walking around one lunchtime which was packed with locals which is always a good sign so we decided to book a table for that evening. There is a lot of choice on the menu both fish/seafood meat. As...fish lovers we chose the tuna which you can have with onions or plain grilled, we went for the latter which came with boiled potatoes salad, it was quite simply the best tuna we’ve ever tasted so fresh succulent. We had a typical Portuguese dessert to share all washed down with a delicious house red. The staff were excellent, all attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed it so much we went again again was superb. Highly recommend we will be back when we return to Quarteira.

I think that was the best meal I've ever had. We had sea food rice for 2, shellfish to die for. Good price, nice bottle of wine. Didn't think we could finish it no starter or desert needed. Yum

A quiet, simple restaurant with indoor and outdoor kitchen. excellent otopus, squid and fantastic cataplana full of local seafood. wonderful waiting staff, very good wine list, a real pleasure.

A fantastic experience! we asked the owner to recommend traditional food from the algarve. he recommended the seafood pasta and the seafood cataplana. wow! absolutely delicious. we were blown away. delicious fresh seafood in a light broth. Please make sure they visit the next one. in the algarve. super delicious and fresh authentic food.

That's the best I've had for years! everything was so tasteful. a true pleasure for the mouth. I recommend the fishpasta! cannot wait to come back.
