Red hot monday special. they offer on Monday for $12.5 220 gramm rib eye, served with calamari rings chips and crinkled jus. that's so cheap. on this planet and beyond other galaxies! I tell them it's worth the price they pay. I know this is graze, but rib eye? they cannot complain about meat quality. and honestly, the meat tastes good for me, not so bad! calamari they use is the frozen crumbed calamari they can find in any supermarket seafood freezer. the jus, was a little runny, came out maggie beef jus lie packings. they put a little effort, with some fresh crumble the jus to censor. Star management must be so desperate that all players get...more
My wife and I visited Momofuku Seiobo to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Unfortunately other than a logo on the outside of the restaurant that I was not familiar with there is no signage on the outside of the restaurant as a result my wife and I walked past the restaurant as we couldn't find it!Once we had finally found the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and shown to our seating for the tasting menu. Our first "snack" course quickly arrived shortly after we were seated and the following courses arrived quickly which I appreciated. It was an interesting experience to sit so close to the kitchen and watch the very talented chefs doing what they do best. I found that the overall menu was very confusing as there was no distinct theme/cuisine however overall I was happy with the savoury courses however I found that the dessert courses were lacking both from a taste and visual point of view. I will say that overall the food was good not great however I found that the experience was over priced for the overall experiance even for a fine dining restaurant.
What an amazing dining experience ! special thanks to the sommelier Max, his knowledge, and customer service is outstanding, and played a part of why we enjoyed the experience so much.
The tasting menu was a welcome change from the usual modern European/French fare. We enjoyed the Caribbean influence in the meal - the coconut crab curry with rice was a highlight. We also liked the roti with marron, which seems to be a staple at this restaurant judging from the photos. At $185 the tasting menu is also cheaper than Momofuku in New York - but still an expensive night out! There wasn't an a la carte option at the counter. I would recommend seating at the counter to see the preparation of your meal in process.Service was prompt, but a bit cold. They tend to have fewer servers in Australian restaurants.
