It was my first visit to the ruffle as part of a closed society for a round birthday. The food for a number of guests of about 50 people was organized as a buffet in three courses. The beginning was an excellent pumpkin soup, which was eaten in a closable glass. The main course was without claim for completeness spinach cakes on saffron sauce, calf packets in a strong dark sauce, lamb under a juicy spinach crust, pork ends with plums, fish in salt crust, black rice with black root vegetables, penne di Mare mussels/meeres, mostly green starters. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any information for dessert. Among the main dishes were an inconspicuous Chardonnay and, on the other hand, very velvety and soft Zinfandel as table wines, as well as water in Karaffen. Culinary I certainly forgive 5 stars, also the elegant table ambience I liked very well. The ruffle loses a star because in this number of guests and this extraordinarily recommended buffet, service personnel would have been appropriate in sufficient numbers. So a lady would have liked to supply all guests with drinks beyond water and wine) and to free them from dishes. All in all, still note 1, and we like to come back.
