We ate there at lunchtime, in the open-sided attached barn with a lovely view of the garden and fields beyond. The weather was glorious and the service friendly and warm which always helps make any meal extra special.
The menu doesn't change, but the choice is fairly wide - given that everything is VERY local - and the food is wonderful. My advice - don't eat all of the garbure (local very hearty soup) which arrives in a large pot. You won't have any appetite for the rest of the menu. Try the local aperitif though, orange and Armagnac and lemonade. Doesn't sound that wonderful but on a hot day, looking over the garden, you couldn't ask for anything more refreshing. And for me the best thing is the crème caramel. made with his own eggs. 12 in each one. If you enjoy it Thierry will even sell you a whole one
We had a lovely dinner with friends during our holiday in the Gers Region; this beautiful restaurant is offering products of their local farm. As a starter we had the owned produced fois gras and as main course the porc noire - grilled on wood - which did give it a superb texture and taste. A highly recommended place if you are in the neighbourhood !
