I brought this to their attention, and it was so severe that the manager had to check and ended up discarding all the rice pots. I ordered another roll, but by then, I had already lost my appetite. The new roll tasted off, and the fish had an overpowering smell, which is unusual for fresh fish. I bit into the roll with the poorly cooked rice and took a single bite of the other roll before putting it down. We spent $36.95 for that. My son also chose the all-you-can-eat option, which also came with bad rice. We paid for a disappointing meal, despite our nice server; I understand it's not her fault. However, the manager should have at least offered an apology. After spending almost $80, we left feeling sick and hardly ate anything. I will not be returning to Trappers again. They have permanently lost my business, and that $80 will be my last spent there.
Food is awesome and the service is amazing the manager greeted us and remembered our names later ! Soooooooo good ! My favorite location hands down
I got a couple hand rolls and they were literally just salmon and rice. Plain and not good. The waitress left them and vanished. Weird country music playing loudly was…interesting. Think Dave and busters sushi without games, or anything entertaining. UPDATE: my coworker, who was accompanying me has been puking and on the toilet all night (and is missing work… I think it’s safe to say “don’t come to this restaurant” is the advice I will be giving in the future to anyone who asks SECOND UPDATE: I was given a bogus email to discuss the issue, just adding more fuel to the fire, or DUMPSTER FIRE I should say.
I went to Trapper’s Sushi in Puyallup to start celebrating my birthday early by buying myself dinner. The order was placed online and usually takes 15-20 minutes to prepare. When I get there around 25 minutes after and asked about my order, the server Kyla told me that it wouldn’t be ready until 6:45pm. After she checked my ticket, she moved it towards the back of the line behind more orders. This was frustrating as it was obvious that the place was not that busy and the interaction seemed more like discrimination as my order had never been started. My order was placed at 5:41pm for a carry out of only 2 sushi rolls. She then took my receipt to the kitchen and told me that it would take 15-20 minutes to be ready starting at that time. My receipt was placed in the wrong order and I did not ask for a delay. For the past 6 years of visiting this restaurant frequently, the quality of their food has always been tasty and the service impeccable. But the prices have gone up quite a bit. Since my meal was for my birthday as a treat for myself, I didn’t mind. But I was not pleased with the service this time around especially finding out about a new restaurant service charge of .63 cents (2.00% added to my order that I didn’t know about with a bag fee if .32 cents. I paid $35.70 for 2 sushi rolls. This place is becoming too expensive and it’s not worth it having to wait even longer for no apparent reason being put towards the back of the ticket line on my special day.
I opted for the all-you-can-eat option and enjoyed two glasses of wine. The food service was excellent! I tried the Miles and Thrill Trump rolls, and I also had tempura vegetables, which included asparagus just for me.
