Caracolas - Puntarenas

We ate fish tacos in California, Baja, Mexico and they're the best. We'd come to Mal Pais to get to Caracolas. It is not touristic, is a beautiful family owned by the beach and the food is only fresh and tasty. The house sauce on the fish tacos was sweet and spicy and the ceviche tropical is also not to be missed.

This place has a magnificent sunset. Margarita was the best margarita I had in my life. The food is good, but it's uneven. Some times is super good other times just ok. I guess it depends on the cook on site. But the 5 stars are for drinks and the amazing view experience. Well done.

I will be short in this review: If you leave Santa Teresa without trying the ceviches and paellas of this place, you would not really visit the city at all. You will also get the perk a nice meal watching the amazing sunset.
