Sky View Cafe - Punta Gorda

Really good fish sandwiches and fish and chips. Onion rings were great. Price was very fair $15 for two of us to eat. Definitely not pretty. But the planes are a different kind of landscape. We're full and happy.

Great place for breakfast or lunch and visit with friends, or take a quick bite or cocktail before your flight. Wide menu, fair reasonable prices and cocktails are available. Very friendly service. Right next to Punta Gorda Airport Terminal, there are 2 hours free parking in Short-Term Lot at the airport.

The food is good, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is great. My friends and I are all regular guests and often recommend it to others. Her crispy French toast or a pan are a great way to go.

I was happy with my food and server, about what I would have hoped and expected, but as a previous reviewer said, the owners seem to push their people and their customers to the door at 2:00. Before I took an hour flight from The Villages, FL to Punta Gorda, I called to make sure that the restaurant was open and not closed until 2:00. I was told I had to be there at 1:45. I arrived at 1:15. Good. An older couple arrived at 1:30 and was told that they had to get in and out in 10 minutes. Around 1:35 a server locked the door and turned to OPEN/CLOSED shield on the door to CLOSED. Although this did not affect me directly on this trip, I felt uncomfortable with what I saw and heard and asked my server if I could talk to the owner or manager. One minute later the server returned and said the owner was too busy. When I left the airport, the crew at FBO airport (for small airplane arrivals and departures) said that they hear this all the time, but nothing changes.
