Gator Shack - Punta Gorda

Delicious food. I rarely give 5 stars for no pepsi products since Coke woke up. But being so remote and having a cook and server that is not only proud of these products, but the attention to detail is extremely rare in this society. I love the grilled shrimps!

This is a fun little restaurant with good food at a good price. My only complaint is, as our waitress has agreed, who has been over the WEBSITE... The hours are wrong, CLOSES ST 2 not 3, the prices have risen and in some cases what you get with your meal is not what the online menu says. I told you you didn't listen anymore. Come on!

I wouldn't expect a restaurant in the sticks to be here. I think many customers come from the Echo Ranch Tour along with a few ranch workers. The Alligator bites were slightly homemade bread and fried, the best.

Loved this place when we visited last year, so we brought some friends to enjoy. Chef Kerrie still rocks ingenious food. Gator is by far our favorite choice, it is tender and juicy unlike any Gator I've ever had. Doesn't know what meat cut it is, but it is definitely not what everyone else uses, that is so hard and chew. Your Gator is delicate on the bite and actually juicy. The best I ever had. Flounder was very fresh and tasty, hush puppies great as always, like the shrimps. The pig is also great, but what makes it all apart are the house made sauces from Orange Marmelade Gator sauce, all BBQ sauces to blue cheese dressing for the salad. Chef Kerrie really has a passion for good food and rocks the kitchen completely alone. We were 18 and they served 2 when we had set ourselves. We had our food within 20 minutes, but the appetizer came in about 5 minutes, so we could sit and enjoy while we spoke. This is a very cool place with a great atmosphere. It is a GEM in the midst of cow pastures and swampland. Very recommended for their seafood as well as their BBQ. I can only say Rock On Chef Kerrie!

We went on the Eco Tour and the driver/guide was very knowledgeable and professional, yet made the trip fun. We then had lunch in the Gator Shack and as usual the food was awsome and fast. We are grateful Babcock Ranch is open.
