Babcock Ranch Eco Tours - Punta Gorda

This was the 4th time we're visiting the Babcock Ranch Eco Tours since the last 8 years.Everytime everything looks really different. At the moment (August 2023) it's very hot and un-normal dry. But we hat times, where a quarter of the trail was in wet ground or water...Right now you won't see a lot of Alligators, but the tour today was good and our Kids where oberster on all informations. The guide speaks a little fast and it was hard to lissen and translate at the same time.Absolutely a visit!!! We'll come back for the 5th time, for sure ?

Best morning spent learning about our local preservation efforts! Tour is wonderful and we will return!

$73 for two adults and one childRestaurant not open on Tuesday and we were disappointed!!It was very hot on the bus when it's not moving. Recommended to bring a handheld fan. Wildlife can be hit or miss depending on weather. We didn't see any big gators, bears, bobcats, deer. We saw birds, hogs, raccoon, cows, little gators.Great history about the farm and didn't know many things about it. Great gift shop and we bought the tasty honey.

Absolutely amazing experience but WARNING FOR TESLA DRIVERS don 't trust the Tesla GPS, use Google maps, the Tesla map will tell you to turn down a dirt road at Bayshore Farms. ??? That property hasn 't been a part of Babcock for literally decades ??‍I got lost and they let us go on the tour an hour later, super kind and understanding. Rhonda absolutely killed it as the tour guide, pausing for effect, and keeping it moving with military precision at all the right times. She has an absolute wealth of knowledge about the ranch and surrounding areas.?? It 's perfect for a small family outing, or a small classroom field trip. ?? Bringing a stroller fan or any small electric fan is a game changer because, well, Florida is hot . It 's an open air swamp buggy (repurposed school bus). There 's a small walking part, but it 's not far or off road, so sandals would be fine .We had our tour in the rainy season so there were fewer visible gators ?? but apparently in the dry winter season there can be hundreds sunning themselves on the banks of the wetlands.Absolutely will be going again!

Very informative and educational on the history of the ranch, Florida, and the different ecosystems! Enjoyed the tour and seeing the animals for a fair price. The tour was the perfect amount of time. I would probably do it again. I found the guide to be friendly, however I felt like she had an attitude and was rude to another passenger on the tour unnecessarily.
