Contribuiți la feedbackI dined here once last April....I can recommend the place very highly...For dinner try the pizza.Service was prompt and the staff were very friendly. This restaurant is very centrally located-just off Plaza de Armas....I would definitely return to this restaurant...very satisfying...reasonably priced.
Good quality food and not expensive, service is excellent. Restaurant was not full but we enjoyed our meal. Thanks!
We went twice to this place, once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch we ordered a menu for 12 soles which includes two entrances, a main, a dessert and a drink. Most menus don't include desserts! For dinner we had a 18 soles menu which is above the average prices for a menu but again it comes with a dessert and a drink as well. The food was rich and well cooked, staff friendly. Would go there again!
Menu looked like it had plenty to pick from so we stopped here for lunch. Apparently, they cater and serve some sort of a set menu to locals, but foreigners ordering off the menu, it was impossible. Nobody wanted to take our order and it took almost an hour and a half to eat. We came here for lunch and there were people sitting at 2 tables, not full. As we waited, locals came in and filled up all the tables, ate, and left, new people came, ate and left before we even got our food. There was no communication with us as to why our food took so long. We were wondering how the locals got their food so fast because they were being served without even ordering. When our food arrived, it was nothing special - very disappointing.
We had lunch here, and while the food was uninspiring at best, the service was the worst I've had at a restaurant in decades. Given a late flight, and the drive to Puno, we came to Ukuku's for a late lunch, but they assured us it was fine. We ordered an appetizer, two pizzas, and drinks all around. Our waters came out in a couple of minutes, which was fine. Then, about 10 minutes later my wife's Pisco Sour arrived. My children had each ordered juices, the first of which arrived 15 minutes later, and then my son's arrived another 20 minutes after that. So, everyone was already hungry when we arrived, and now we're 45 minutes into it, and all we have are drinks. When my son's drink arrived, I asked about the beer I had ordered 45 minutes ago, and one of the servers mentioned something about having to go out to buy it. You would have to be blind and in a wheelchair to not stumble on a beer in Puno in about 2 minutes. Needless to say, when my beer finally did arrive, it was warm. Given that we were the only people in the restaurant, I saw something that looked like it could have been our appetizer, which it was, but I had to watch it sit there for more than 5 minutes before someone could be bothered to serve it to us, and by then it was lukewarm. At that point, the pizzas hardly mattered, although in keeping, their "sausage" pizza literally tasted like it was a hot dog. And, of course, there was not even a hint of an apology as we got the bill and paid. The best thing the owners of Ukulu's could do is shut down immediately to spare any other guests of their lousy food and the worst service in the hemisphere.
