Solkadi Malvani - Pune

Visited there several times.... Amazing food quality service is also prompt.I have tried prawns biryani chicken thali the most refreshing Solkadhi..Overall amazing experience.Owner is very friendly also....

Nice place for chicken and seafood. I have tried chicken sukka and pomfret thali here along with solkadhi. Taste and service is great. Fish fry wasnt marinated neatly but rest of the stuff was nice and even fish was fresh not frozen one. Ambience is little bit congested.Food taste 4/5Ambience 3/5Service 4/5Food quality 5/5Cost vs Product 4/5Give it a try !!!

Okay so my dad *loves* sea food and we actually decided to go to one of our favourite sea food places but saw this place in the suggestions and after reading the reviews thought of giving it a try and don’t regret it one bit.<br/ <br/ Ambience-This is a small hotel with 8-10 tables and the kitchen is on the upper floor.<br/ <br/ Food-<br/ 1)Tandoor Pomfret- The fish was quite big and fresh. I loved the taste. It was tangy with a hint of char grill. <br/ <br/ 2)Chicken Banjara Kebab-The chicken was cooked to perfection. It was a bit spicy and was drizzling with cheese. This was a good starter as well.<br/ <br/ 3)Prawns Masala with Kombdi Wade-<br/ Loved how perfectly the prawns were cooked. There were about 8-10 prawns in the curry which was a good quantity for the price we paid. It had a thick gravy and the taste was pretty good.<br/ <br/ 4)Prawns Biryani-Loved this dish as well. It had the correct mix of all the spices. The quantity was decent and had sufficient number of prawns. <br/ <br/ 5)Solkadhi-This was the only thing we didn’t like the reason being, the solkadhi was very cold and it was pretty average in taste.<br/ <br/ Staff- Staff was polite and welcoming.<br/ <br/ Cons-The drawbacks of this place are that the solkadhi can be improved and also, they don’t provide mint chutney. I love mint chutney. If they provide mint chutney then this place has everything you can ask for.<br/ Perks-The place is super affordable and has the most yummy and juicy food.

हॉटेल मालवणी सोलकडी !<br <br आपल्याच ग्रुपचे जानेमाने खवैय्येनी PEO पोस्ट द्वारे सुचवलेले हे ठिकाण ....<br <br शहराच्या गजबजलेल्या आणि मोजून मापून अपमान प्रेमानी हो.. करणाऱ्या सदाशिव पेठेत वसलेले आहे ..<br <br वातावरणविषयक : साधारण ९ १० टेबल १ x ४ , स्वच्छतेत टाप टीप पण जाणवलेत .<br <br बूड टेकवले नाही की, Service boy हातात marinated फिश चे विविध प्रकार असलेले ट्रे घेऊन आला, त्यात पॉम्फ्रेट, सुरमई, बांगडा आणि Prawns ..<br <br सुरमई निवडून त्याला तंदूर बनवण्याचे सांगितले...<br <br सोल कढी : टेस्टला जराशी आमसुली जाणवली, पण .. बाकी मसाले controlled आणि quantity भरपूर होती ... खास म्हणजे मातीच्या ग्लासेस मध्ये.. थंडगार एक्दम सुक !<br <br सुरमई तंदूर : प्रमाणात मसालेचे marination असल्याने चव छान लागत होती, महत्वाचे म्हणजे फिश एक्दम फ्रेश होते .... मोजून १० मिनिटाच्या आत... सुपडा साफ !!<br <br चिकन मालवणी special थाळी : कोंबडी वडे, चिकन सुक्का, चिकन करी, चिकन खिमा , बिर्याणी rice , सोलकडी and पांढरा रस्सा .<br <br कोंबडी वडे : वडे व्यवस्थित तळलेले वाटले, हे गरमागरम वडे चिकन करी सोबत चवीला म्हणजे Made for each other '<br <br चिकन करी : मालवणी पद्धतीचा रस्सा, जास्त तिखट नाही, माज्या मते थोडा झणझणीत पुन्हा हवा होता, असो. वडयाच्या सोबतीला perfect combination <br <br चिकन सुक्का : बाझीगर होता सुक्का...नुसता झक्कास.<br <br खिमा पांढरा रस्सा : ठीक ठाक.Not टाकाऊ..<br <br माप्पात पाप नाही ,पुरेपूर आहे Quantity ..<br <br किंमत : Quantity जी सर्वे करतात, त्याला समर्थनीय आहे .<br <br जे मला खटकले:<br <br मालक मॅनेजर आणि वैटर्स मध्ये बिलकुल ताळमेळ दिसले नाही..<br <br प्लेटिंग कडे जरा लक्ष कमी...<br <br Overall जे पण पदार्थ मी खाल्ले , ते मी सांगून सुद्धा झणझणीत मिळाले नाही.

Honestly I have been taking reviews from food bloggers in pune with a grain of salt. But this deserves all the praise it has been given. We ordered the ₹550 Malwani special fish thali, and as you can see how tempting it looks. The thali was worth every penny. I was concerned with the quantity but it really exceeded my expectations . this thali will fill you up on an empty stomach easily and the flavours will explode in your mouth. The tawa fry surmai was spicy and fried to perfection. The sukat chatni is the best in any seafood restaurant I have tried, even in my native malvan. Kolambi suka was just damn tasty Kudos to the chef. The biryani rice they say is actually the long grain basmati rice, it's not flavoured as i expected it to be. Don't look at the price of the thali and get scared its honestly worth your money coming from a person who spends only upto 300 on his lunch.
