Saffron Restaurant Pashan has added an exclusive Thali menu to its popular menu. The thali's include a variety of fish thaali, mutton thaali and chicken thali. And boy, what a food-gasmic treat that was!! You have the freedom to adjust your plate. It can be a fish fry or can be a seasoned Tawa fish together with crispy Bombil fry,sukkat, fish curry that either Bhetki Filet or Rohas depending on availability, choice of the Roti, you can decide for chapati ,Amboli or bhakri served fresh and hot. along with a Chutney. 1) Pomfret fish thaali..a first for me because crisp Roha fried pomfret ..fresh and mild on spices is served together with the curry and roti of your choice. This is a child-friendly Thali because of its spice level. #Amustorder 2) Prawns thali,Surmai thali and Crab thali. All dishes are delicious and cooked with fresh catch of the day. The fish pieces can easily be divided by 2 persons. 3) Another article ..a starter from the menu that is worth mentioning is the sukkat masala papad. This was the perfect start to eat. General quantity of cubed sukkat chutney on fried papad was so addictive that you could not stop at one. #lovedtillthelastbite All dishes are balanced ..neither to spicy and not blaming just the right thing to enjoy your favorite hulled fish thali. Saffron ..a very spacious restaurant with both outdoors and two levels of indoor seats with sufficient space for social distancing. Sanitizers are practically held and the servers are all masked. Due to its spacious interior and strategic location on the highway, it is a crowd puller and a perfect place for family gatherings and parties. Show your love and give the meals a try ..am to make sure you are not disappointed. Overall VFM with quality and quantity.

If you want real seafood lovers and want to try malvani style seafood preparation in the city, then you should try Saffron Seafood Restaurant and its exclusive seafood thalis in existing popular seafood menu. Thali contains a variety of fish preparations (desi tawa grilled, rava fry, barbeque) and you have the freedom to adapt your thali to your needs. Each seafood thali contains succat, bombil roa fry, rice, solkadhi and the choice of bread (tawa chapati, rice bread, amboli) I would really recommend trying their innovative starters sukkat papad. her fish curry is thick in texture and have perfect brownish and spicy aroma. Pomfret rava fry is unique, cut into pieces and properly coated and become crispy and delicate inside. Bombil Roha fry is one of my favorite dishes from their menu. Desi grilled shrimps are so very delicate inside and sharp outside. They use fresh catches.

All food items were mouthwatering and the staff were very polite. Must go for seafood. 10/10.

A reasonably large seating area at various levels which permits one to have quiet parties, family get together or corporate dinners. Even a quiet date night. They had a dance floor with live music post COVID 19 which is closed currently. They also do catering for house parties etc. The owner Chetan Zope recently added various options in #Thali for lunch. This Thali is available from 1pm until 5pm Different Types of Fish Thali Chicken Thali Mutton Thali All preparation are costal predominantly Konkani/ Malvani in nature. We were served #Sukkat_Papad as starter while we waited for the Thali’s to arrive. This presentation was fantastic so crunchy and spice balanced. #highlyrecommended Every Fish Thali has sukkat chutney, moist chutney (red chilli, Kanda, coconut amsul) found in this cuisine , option or rawa/tawa fry of fish of your choice, one large bombil rawa fry, Malvani fish curry, rice with option of Bhakri/Chappati/Amboli, onion and off course the refreshing sol kadhi. Everything on the plate was delicious and delivered from what I as expecting . The Malvani curry was tangy, the red chutney was spot on and the fish was extremely fresh. Sol Kadhi was refreshing. Kindly note the #Rawa_fry is ideal for kids or those who prefer minimal spice. #Tawa_fry is a nice spicy, tangy Masala version which has you licking your fingers! The #Mutton_Thali had Kheema fried balls, Malvani mutton curry, mutton masala, sol kadhi, onion, rice and option of chappati/Bhakri. The mutton masala was just too good! Spicy and well balanced. The kheema fry balls were a bit too salty for me . All the ingredients fish were very fresh and Saffron has come up with this amazing pocket friendly heavy duty Thali concept! Would definitely recommend you to visit to try it.
