It has a simple yet elegant ambience and has lots of Mango and Coconut tree plantations in the premises. The seating is comfortable. The restaurant has specialtiy in sea food preparations and can be easily guessed from the name of the restaurant itself. I was invited over here for the food tasting session. We were welcomed with a cool and refresing litchi based drink non alcoholic). Mocktails: We tried array of refresing and impressive mocktails like Kiwi Apple Punch, Mango Blast, Strawberry Martini, Kiwi Martini, Blue Frog, Mango Blast Strawberry martini, Kiwi Martini, and Mango blast were my personal favourites. Soups: Mix Sea Food: The soup had small pieces of meat of various seafood and was superb in taste. It had finely chopped garlic and green chillies, hint of black pepper; it was thick in consistency and had a nice and spicy after taste. #Highlyrecommended Lemon Corainder: This was again a nice option for vegetarian people. Finely chopped veggies along with refresing combination of Lemon and coriander did impress me a lot. A soup which will definitely rejuvenate you instantly. #Highlyrecommended Starters: Murg Dhania Boat: The dish had perfectly cooked boneless chicken pieces marinated in assorted spices along with yogurt and coriander. It was medium spicy in taste and did hit the right note. The dish was granished with fried coriander and was truly delicious. #Highlyrecommended Chicken Ghee Roast: A mangalorean delicacy which was prepared spot on. The chicken was was well marinated with spicy and slightly tangy ground masala and it had a dintinctive taste. #Highlyrecommended Gosht Boti Kebab: I skipped this mutton dish but those who had were truly delighted to have it. Surmai Tawa Fry: Two big sized surmai pieces were shallow fired along with ground spices coating and was medium spicy in taste. The fish was nicely cooked and was good in taste, the Cabbage and grated coconut based salad which was served along with it was also good in taste. #Recommended Prawns Malvani Masala: Jumbo sized prawns were prepared in kokum based malvani masala and were cooked to perfection. It was not at all rubbery and was soft. The masala was bit spicy in taste and was perfect for my palate. #Highlyrecommended. Crab Butter Garlic: Finely minced crab meat along with butter and garlic was creamy and well done. The sauce was thick and superb in taste. #Highlyrecommended. Bangda Shallow Fry: Again a good option in sea food. The Bangda Mackeral) was shallow fried with medium spicy ground spices coating and was superb in taste. #Recommended. Paneer Rojali: I had never heard about a rojali kebab in panner/veg and I was excited to see this dish. Trust me it was superbly done. Finely chopped paneer bhurji was stuffed into a paneer coating with beetroot based medium spicy marination, was topped with some grated cheese and was one of the best veg kebabs which I have had. #Highlyrecommended Mains: Goan Prawns Curry: Mind Blowing. It had jumbo sized prawns done in goan spices with lots of coconut; it was spicy and slightly sour. The masala was blended to perfection and was delight to my taste buds. #Highlyrecommended. Chicken Maratha: The gravy was slightly thin in consistency and was done in ground spices with tender and juicy chicken pieces. It was medium spicy in taste and was full of flavours. #Recommended. Veg Maratha: I was really amazed with all the non veg dishes that I had and this veg dish was a surpise to me. Mix veggies done in thick and spicy gravy was too good. Do try this and I am sure you will definitely like it. It is a must have for vegetarians. #Recommended. Neer Dosa: The best combination to go along with sea food gravy and chicken Maratha. It was served hot and was done to perfection. Jeera Rice: Well cooked long grain basmati rice went well with the prawn’s goan curry. Desserts: Gajar Ka Halwa Sizzling Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream: I must say one of the best gajar ka Halwa which I have had. The In House prepared gajar ka halwa was low on sweetness level and was topped with dry fruits. It was served hot. A must have at Masakha. The sizziling browie which was also done nicely was over shadowed because of the Gajar ka halwa. Overall: Service was prompt and restaurant was hygienic. None of the sea food dishes had the fishy smell which is a really challenge for all the restaurants serving sea food and I must say Masakha scores full marks in it. The rates are pretty reasonable. Quantity of all the dishes is also good. We tried different dishes in our session and I must say all were brilliantly done right from the starters till desserts. A must visit place for Veg as well as non veg lovers.
नाम मेरे क्या रखा है? Masakha a newly opened restaurant near Navale bridge which is not known the area for good restaurants and it's highly crowded because of the traffic. It's been 5 6 months for their restaurant to be opened. As you go by the road whenever you see this name on your right side you don't get the idea what's inside stored for you. Once you enter in the premises of this restaurant you'll be introduced to the whole new world. The lavish beautiful huge area maintained well by the staff and designed to the perfection of every type of customer. The restaurant perfect solution for your all type of needs as a foodie. They have a family section, private section, open air seating and live bar. The one and the only reason to put the title like this is that Masakha offers a variety of dishes in their menu. Even if it's known for seafood and seafood speciality restaurant, their vegetarian preparations, Chinese preparations and even desserts are absolutely fantastic. It's a rare case where you'll find all things and that also of good quality at one place. I tried a bunch of items as the menu has lots of things, let me write down all of them and I'll explain my favourites from the list . . . Soup 1. Seafood Soup 2. FIsh Manchow Soup Appetizers 1. Paneer Rozali kebab Highly Recommended 2. Pomfret Tawa 3. Chicken Saiwog 4. Prawns Malwani Tawa 5. Chicken Ghee Roast 6. Butter Garlic Crab Highly Recommended 7. Prawns Rawa Fry Mains 1. Murgh Kala Masala Highly Recommended 2. Betki Fish In Goan Curry Neer Dosa Best thing to have with Goan curry 3. Mangalorean Curry 4. Prawns Biryani Desserts 1. Shahi Tukda Highly Recommended 2. Gajar Halwa Highly Recommended So let's get started . . Soup Fish Manchow Soup Indian chicken manchow soup. Medium thick consistency and it was good. It was tangy and hot spicy as a manchow soup suppose to be. We had a good amount of fish meat in soup and they've given us fried noodles to go with the soup. The soup was good and had a nice hint of ginger. Loved it. Appetizer Paneer Rozali Kebab As I said earlier, we never expected or do expect to get a good vegetarian food at any seafood special or non vegetarian place that's why I was super surprised after having a bite into this heavenly delicious appetizer. When kebab came on our table I was sceptical about it as the looks it was too red and I thought they've used colours in it It looked dark red as I was having dinner here and the light reflected on the dish . As soon as I took bite my all doubt was gone in seconds and I was happy that captain recommended this dish to us. It was 3 layer kebab where on the top it had beetroot marination coating which was bit tangy and after that, there was a thick layer of soft juicy paneer which was then stuffed with paneer bhurji, grated cheese and mawa. The entire kebab was a treat to us and the different flavours of each layer just made our night. I'll definitely recommend this to try here as the dish really blew our mind. Prawns Malwani Tikka Prawns malwani tikka is one of their signature dish which was good. Nicely cooked juicy prawns tossed into onion based masala which tasted perfect. The prawns were bigger than the normal ones so it was plus point. Butter Garlic Crab The show stopper of our Meal. One of the best dish to have at Masakha. I had a similar dish on Sunday with somewhat same taste and perfection having prawns in it and luckily I got to taste it again here. The creamy sauce which was the combination of butter and garlic was totally fantastic. The two elements were blended perfectly that the flavour was really highlighting the entire dish. The good amount of sweet crab meat was tossed in this creamy sauce and the combination was out of the world. It will be my definite recommendation if you're dining here. Prawns Rawa Fry Huge tiger prawns cooked perfectly till it gets sweet juicy softness and then coated in crispy rawa coating. It tasted fantastic as the strong crispy outer layer and then soft juicy prawns flavor just melted in our mouth. Mains Murgh Kala Masala I've always asked to get this preparation which includes kala masala which is my favourite. We don't get kala masala at home so it's a must order for me whenever I get chance. Basically, kala masala is onion based gravy with lots of spices which gives the dish a good spicy tangy flavour. The gravy was medium thick and the chicken chunks were juicy and tender. This time the masala had a strong pepper flavour but still, the combination tasted brilliant with Neer Dosa. Yes, I tried this dish with neer dosa. Betki Fish in Goan Curry All time favourite coconut based Goan curry with Betki Fish. It was my first time that I had this fish. The curry was superb and the thickness was perfect. The perfect blend of masala and coconut gave it a good spicy sour taste which went well with neer dosa. Neer dosa is a perfect thing to have with Goan curry. Prawns Biryani I didn't get chance to taste this but as my friend told me it was superb and the taste was somewhat near to the one we make at home. Big thumbs up for this. Desserts Gajar Ka Halwa I'm not a fan of desserts but the desserts which we had here was completely on the top. One of the best halwa I've tasted. It was made in house the sweetness maintained was on the perfect level. I really enjoyed eating this as the sweetness was perfect as per my taste buds. It was lovely. Shahi Tukda What a dessert !! Gem of a dessert. I was truly satisfied with having this dessert. It was a real royal treat to our taste buds. The coating of the toasted bread with sugar syrup was perfect with didn't overpower the rabdi and the bread was super crispy so it tasted good with the rabdi combination. Mostly we get soaked bread in rabdi which is the normal dish but somehow this version appealed me more as the super crispiness following by thick sweet rabdi enjoyed more by me and others. Overall verdict I was highly satisfied with my visit and enjoyed each and every item which was served to us. We also had some drinks on our table but I think each and every other thing overpowered the drinks section. The hospitality of the restaurant staff and the humble nature of owner is the Highlight. It will be my definite recommendation to the people who live nearby
Nice food quality environment ....also good service.
MASAKHA is a must visit. I tried recently and relished the best sea food in town. Additional to the taste, loved the way food was served keeping in mind the ease to consume it. The specific instructions I had given, especially for non spicy food was followed to my expectations, which I rarely found in other hotels. Good quality flavorsome food. Absolutely delectable and pleasing to my palate. Well deserved
