Las Penitas Bar & Grill

We went with out two young boys. We loved breakfast so much we went back fur dinner. Huevos rancheros was delicious- the salsa was simple but delicious- so fresh. The children couldn't eat enough chips and salsa then when the breakfast came we had to have it wrapped up to go! I had the ceviche for dinner. It was incredible. Washed down with a blended margarita was heaven. We'll have to eat here everyday now or there will be trouble from the kids. We're not complaining though. With a warm welcome from waiting staff and owners, we loved it.

I was very comfortable eating here alone...Twice. It's a cute place. The food and the prices were good! I enjoyed chatting with the owners...a cool couple. I look forward to exploring the menu further when I return in February.

I have been passing this restaurant for a while but not stopped in and decided last night was the night to give it a try and was very pleased. It's very close to where I live and I'm sure will become a favorite. It's has a combination of Mexican, Italian and seafood, last night I choose Mexican and am looking forward to the Italian. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have indoor and outdoor seating. I choose outdoor being the people watcher that I am and being just a block from the Malecon and beach, many to watch.

Simply put, the food looks and tastes great. The new owners have made some wonderful changes. Services was magnificent! Some very vicious margaritas. Thank you!

Wandering around the malecon in Puerta Vallarta we came across a darling mom and pop restaurant owned and run by an American wife and a Mexican husband-chef.The wife was friendly and informative and chatted with us during lunch. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious and the prices svery reasonable. I especially enjoyed the tortilla soup.
