My husband has German ancestry, his great grandparents were first generation German immigrants who cooked authentic German meals and he said the cuisine served at Hacienda Alemana is as close to the original as it gets. The service is great as well, menu items are priced right, cooked to perfection and served quick. There's complimentary bread with butter and pate which my teenage kids love and enjoy! I'm on a low carb diet, so I can only take a small bite of the bread but it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in PV!
This Hacienda provides a lovely outdoor setting with authentic recipes from Germany, the owners being German immigrants. The sausages, beers, and and service makes this a pleasurable dining experience.
Beautiful quiet courtyard. Great place for a romantic dinner or for groups. Food was all excellent. The specials are German and authentic but everything coming off the grill was delicious.
Great meal in a beautiful patio! Great service. There are nightly specials, grilled selections, and classic German dishes. I was surprised by how peaceful the patio was for being on a busy street, fountain and guitar player made it hard to hear traffic.
I met my partner in Germany 30 years ago. Since we were in PV on our 30th anniversary we thought it only made sense to celebrate at a German restaurant. When we arrived, there were two groups in front of us waiting to be seated. The host escorted each group to their tables. When it was our turn, the host looked up our reservation and then pointed to our table, so we escorted ourselves to the table. As meals were being served the owner went around to every group to check on them, except for us, he walked right by and said nothing. We could tell our waiter was nervous and was trying to make things pleasant for us, but the owner’s homophobic behavior was too obvious. We ate quickly and left. On our way out the owner was standing at the entrance and said nothing. Everyone else was greeted with a ”thank you and come again”. We will never give him another dime and advise everyone new we meet here to avoid this place. Ps. As for food and atmosphere, we sat on white outdoor plastic furniture and based on the food prices, we expected it to be similar to traditional foods served in Germany…it was not.
