Contribuiți la feedbackYou simply cannot get a better fish or shrimp taco in all of Vallarta. The family owner and operations of this place is second to none. I spoke to the owner who used to work with Ralph Rubio in San Diego. He left years ago...for Puerto Vallarta long before Rubio's became popular. The tacos here are way better than Rubios. They are simply the best you can get period. I will be there as soon as I get to Vallarta in November. And my family and I usually go here once every other day. IT IS THAT GOOD!
We hit this spot numerous times every trip we take to Puerto Vallarta. Rafael and crew are the best! If you love seafood you cannot pass this place up. Just a short walk down the hilll from the Villa in Cochas Chinas Hillside and you...are here. Please go here and eat you will not be disappointed!
A friend and I have passed this place often and vowed to go for lunch together. We finally did and it was delicious, ordering a camarón tostada, taco and burrito. The tostada came with enough fresh, piquant ceviche for servings. The taco had delicately deep-fried shrimp in a flour tortilla. Both are served with shredded cabbage and lettuce, creamy cocktail sauce and salsa Méxicana so you can add as much or as little as you like. The burrito was big enough for people and stuffed with plump shrimp, lettuce, cheese and aguacate. Add chilled Méxican cervezas and you have a perfect lunch. The food here is tasty and moderately-priced (I usually pay between and pesos for a ceviche tostada; here they are but even more wonderful is the friendly staff and surrounding business workers who frequent the counter. The pescaderia across the street is family-owned and provides most of the fresh fish and shrimp for Calamar Adventurero. Lovely Adriana sings pop songs with the radio as she serves your food. Several regulars drive by and shout out to friends. While there isn't a view, there also isn't overpriced seafood and timeshare sharks (found on el Malécon). Just a place the locals frequent (always a good sign to me) with good, fresh food.
Service very good.Food plentiful.Seating comfortable and partly outside. We were there for lunch but you could still order breakfast. The waitress came several times to our table to make sure that everything was to our liking. The staff look as if they really like their job.A very...nice visit.
Although this is primarily a seafood restaurant, they offer a very reasonable and generous breakfast before PM. Eggs, chilaquiles, beans, tortillas and fresh juice and coffee. (According to the menu, one is entitled to orange juice AND coffee according to our waitress, it was...one or the other. When we pointed out what was clearly written on the menu--coffee AND juice- she not so graciously brought my partner a cup, but no milk. We didn't ask for milk as we felt we had reached the limits of her good will But the eggs were perfectly done, the (extra cost) side of bacon crisp and tasty, and the price amazingly inexpensive.
