La Taberna De Fran - Puerto de la Cruz

Despite the positive reviews, I should have read the obvious signs numbered pictures of the dishes displayed everywhere is never a good indicator of a quality restaurant. Add to that a passive aggressive waiter who couldn’t turn the table quickly enough. Food was adequate but nothing outstanding.

The tapas was great. We ordered 5 between us and there was far too much for us to eat. Waiter was very friendly and efficient. Would recommend 'small fishes ' and 'broken eggs with ham .

We were looking for a low key place with some small bites to eat for late lunch. We’ve been convinced by good reviews. We’ve ordered a jar of sangria, canarian potatoes, grilled cheese and fried calamares. Sangria was very good (recommended as a house speciality) but the food… very poor. At least potatoes and cheese were microwaved, calamares had no taste. The staff is very nice and sangria is good, so it could be a good place for a drink

Fiándonos de las valoraciones dimos con este local y ha sido un gran acierto. La comida esta genial y a un precio mas q contenido. Ademas tuvimos la suerte de poder charlar un rato con un amable chico argentino q nos atendió. Nos hablo de su país y filosofamos un poco. Un rato muy agradable. Ojalá podamos repetir mas pronto que tarde

Mi pareja y yo comimos en este bar en nuestra visita a Puerto de la Cruz. El camarero nos atendió estupendamente. Pedimos papas arrugadas, camembert frito y pescaíto y estaba todo delicioso. Todo más las bebidas 26 €.
