Back in this restaurant during our holiday trip last month by april 2022, six years after our first visit. the food and the service were so good that we came here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. it is centrally located in...Puerto de la cruz, right next to the city church. they can either sit inside, or even better, at their outside sitting area, watching people stroll around while they hear the church bells. we started our Venezuelan gastronomical firm with tequeños (fried, white cheese, covered with a fluffy teig that is a Venezuelan snack.) they can immerse this in savory dips (avocado sauce or hot sauce) or a sweet dip (blueberry jam). although both options were delicious when they are really in hot sauce, they can not miss the homemade hot sauce prepared by one of the owners. my wife had a huge white cheese empanada; my lacher had a cacheapa con queso (as a corn pancake filled with a huge piece of white fresh cheese that melts after fried) and I had the pabellón empanada (with bark, plantain, black bean and cheese). for drinking we had freshly prepared fruit juices (sum,) a cold hahnbier and, finished with two delicious coffees! five stars for excellent quality homemade Venezuelan food, great portions and an unbeatable price. in the hope that it will not bring us six more years for our next visit to puerto de la cruz, we will definitely be back at delicias vene canarias. thanks to the owners and their employees for such a great experience!
The food was cheap, the coffee was decent and the fön fritted fresh. we finished everything and waited at least 30 minutes to get the bill. we were ignored all the time. then came a family of about 15 with a screaming infant who was mined for the last 20 minutes of our stay. the ignorant and the temperament trumpets have ruined our evening. it is a scandal because the avocado they use is really delicious.
Very nice and cheap lunch! our first arepas je. crunchy brot, beautiful fillings. I had shredded huh and avocado (catira,) hubby ordered the signature arepa (venecanarias
