Can an Italian joint be really great in a hotel in provo? we had an average meal here. the food was well prepared, but not in any wise stand out, my escape was bland (Italian solid). I can think of some things that I would change directly from the beater brot? how would it be to have oil and edgy on the table? or, how about fresh ground pfeffer and parmesan with a pasta-deer? the chef just doesn't try very hard, but hey, that's provo. there were also quality problems with cold escape and desserts with missing elements. ambiente and service were average.
We had I very nice experience. The chef has apparently competed and won a number of competitions and it shows. We visited on a rainy Thursday evening so not busy at all. Yet they had plenty of staff and our server was attentive but did a very nice jobof giving us space to enjoy. My choice was a Cajun linguine with blacked chicken. It was perfect on the spices not overpowering the pasta. The chicken was just a touch dry, but more than acceptable in achieving the blackened affect . Oh, andalmost forgot, live piano on an off night even over the top. Worth out rainy drive from Alpine UT. PLEASE visit. I thinkyou 'll be surprised.
I just don't understand this place. is it semi fine dining. is it a Diner style. is it really Italian? just didn't get it. and i guess next time i want a real Malibu Chicken, ill just have to go to Sizzler. And the Marinara tasted like Ragu out of a can.why cant I just find some really fresh Italian food? and if the Chef needs a place to wipe his hands, he should try the handtowel's in the restroom. Not on his Chefs Coat.
We had a delightful experience at the restaurant. The chef, who has apparently won several competitions, definitely showcased their talent. We visited on a rainy Thursday evening, so the place wasn't busy at all. Despite that, the staff was plentiful, and our server was attentive yet allowed us plenty of space to enjoy our meal. I chose the Cajun linguine with smoked chicken, and it was perfectly seasoned—just the right amount without overpowering the pasta. The chicken was a tad dry, but it was still more than acceptable given the beautiful presentation. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the live piano music that elevated the evening to another level. It was a lovely escape from the rainy weather in Alpine, UT. I highly recommend a visit; I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
