Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a fantastic spot for a date, a hangout with friends, or just studying in a lively yet comfortable environment. The fries, especially the cheese fries with bacon, are affordable and absolutely delicious. I've discovered that a drink from the adjacent Sodalicious pairs perfectly with the tasty snacks from Hot Potato. However, I was a bit disappointed when Sodalicious/Hot Potato removed their milkshakes from the menu, particularly the Nutella milkshake, which I absolutely loved. I tried it twice and then faced multiple issues each time I returned—either it was too early for milkshakes, the machine was broken, or they were completely gone from the menu. Despite my frustration with the milkshake situation, I truly enjoy stopping by this charming place for a quick snack or to hang out. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without being overwhelming or too loud. I highly recommend everyone check this place out. Even though it's located in the middle of a residential complex, it’s definitely worth the visit. Helpful tip: There are designated parking spots on the side of the village complex for Sodalicious/Hot Potato patrons, so you usually won't have to compete too much with the residents for a convenient parking spot.
To be fair, I'm specifically reviewing an article. I absolutely love the Carne Asada fries—seriously, they're amazing! So, they definitely deserve a five-star rating from me. I think their fries have a great texture overall, but I haven't tried any other sauces because I always stick to my favorites.
I have a double date here. The frits themselves were super good, although sauces and toppings were just ok. The service was really good: My wife has nutritional restrictions that she has worked very well. If you are looking for a fast bite and a soda, it is a good place to stop.
Like the soda place it's attached to, the place is cheaper than other local places with fries, but it's okay at best. I got the garlic parmesan sauce, and it was not enough and too tangy. Maybe the other sauces are better, but you're better off going a couple of blocks North to The Wall on BYU campus which has REALLY good fries and awesome sauce that doesn't cost extra.
Went into Hot Potato on a not too busy night. We ordered two of their meals and were not too pleased with the quality or quantity of the food. The fries did not taste very fresh and the sauces were too spicy and salty. Also, the pudding shakes are interesting, but disappointing as well. I thought pudding meant the shakes would be a little thicker but they were simply runny shakes with a scoop of pudding on the bottom. They have an interesting culinary concept at Hot Potato but the execution, on our visit, was lacking.
